Pastor Rodney Cunningham a native of Milwaukee, WI, is the 2nd son of 4 boys, born to parents Mary and James Hunter/Hughes. He has one daughter that he adores, Alaya Cunningham. 

Musically, Cunningham started singing at a young age. He entered the world of recording in 1984 and has since recorded 7 projects to date, all of which has earned him hit singles.  Cunningham has worked with the creative talents of Mary J. Blige & Babyface’s keyboardist the late Cornell Thigpen, Boyz II Men and the Winans Keyboardist, the late Benjamin Love and Eric Benet producer and Grammy songwriter, Demonte Posey. He has also been produced by gospel mega producers, Pery and Jeral Gray of New Direction, Chicago Mass and Joshuas Troop. In 2008, Cunningham was featured on tracks on Mark Hubbard and The Voices Stellar Award-winning release “Blessing Waiting on Me” which earned him national recognition. Cunningham has studied under some of gospels elite and loves to share that knowledge with others. 

Cunningham signed with the legend Dorothy Norwood’s “DNMG” label in 2013 and then with “Blackberry Records” label headed by the legendary “Williams Brothers” in 2017, which garnered the release of “God Is So Good”.  Then in 2022 this gospel powerhouse released his latest work entitled “Jesus Reigns”.

In ministry, Rodney Cunningham, became a minister under the leadership of his Presiding Bishop, Bishop RJ Burt of Greater New Birth Church of Milwaukee, WI. 

Minister Cunningham, who was the musician for Macedonia Church for 20+ years, was doubly ordained by the late Pastor Willie F. Brooks of Guiding Light Baptist Church and by Pastor Mary Hunter of Euphrates Pentecostal Church of Holiness, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In February of 2010, Cunningham was called to the Pastorate of Macedonia Church and was installed on June 27, 2010 by former member Pastor Al Zollicoffer of Marrietta GA.

Cunningham has since graduated on May 19, 2012 from Concordia College with an Associate’s Degree in Theology and has also received his Bachelor’s degree from Midwest Bible College. 

Pastor Rodney Cunningham continues to travel nationally and internationally both singing and preaching the Word of the Lord to the lost.

Pastor Cunningham is working to create new leaders, and programs that edify and meet people where they are, by any means necessary, with a vision to keep striving regardless of difficulties, knowing that God can do all things. As his songs says “GOD IS SO GOOD and GOD CAN”!
